BOBBY MOORE FUND RETURNS TO SAFE HANDS AT PARQUE DA FLORESTA
Once again, former England goalkeeper David Seaman MBE, is teaming up with Parque da Floresta for the seventh David Seaman Safe Hands Charity Golf Classic 2008, sponsored by Zurich International Solutions and HSBC Investments.
This year, the event takes place from the 10th-13th July following the UEFA European Football Championships, will see personalities from the world of sport and entertainment come together to grace the fairways of Parque da Floresta in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK -

Last year’s event raised over £150,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, whilst the funds raised for David’s chosen charities in the six year history of the event have totalled in excess of £750,000.
Event programme
The four-day programme includes a two-day golf competition where 22 teams of three players plus a celebrity, compete on the magnificent Par 71, 5,712 metre Parque da Floresta golf course. The evening festivities include themed events each night and a gala dinner with prize presentation and charity auction on the Saturday night.

Previous participants have included Arsenal goal scorer turned TV presenter Ian Wright MBE, Manchester United’s Paul Scholes, current England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, ex-Arsenal and TV commentator Bob Wilson, ex- Spurs footballer and England Manager Glenn Hoddle, snooker legend Willie Thorne, Coronation Street favourites Bradley Walsh and Johnny Briggs, actors Max Beesley and Craig Fairbrass, TV presenters Ben Shephard and Anna Walker, Brookside funny man Vince Earl, former Olympic athlete Kriss Akabusi MBE and the world’s most capped rugby prop Jason Leonard MBE, to name but a few.
